USAF Big Dawg (PL-94-9301)
A retired 93-foot Air Force water-survival training boat, with extra steel structure added to the deck for habitat.
The Big Dawg supported the Air Force Parachute Water Survival School at NAS Pensacola. Students disembarked from the stern for one-person life raft training and were dropped and dragged from the stern during parasail training — the “PL” in her hull number stands for “parasail launch.”
She's a 93' × 32', 158-ton steel vessel, with additional steel structure secured to the deck to enhance habitat. She was sunk on May 7, 2021 in 104 feet of water.
