RMS Cyclops
A 105-foot offshore supply vessel resting upside down on her wheelhouse in 72 feet — close to the pass and great for newer divers.

On April 18, 2023, the Okaloosa Coastal Resource Team deployed the RMS Cyclops, a decommissioned offshore supply vessel from the oil industry, as an artificial reef off Destin-Fort Walton Beach.
Trapped air in the hull caused her to roll during the sinking, so she now rests on her wheelhouse on a sandy bottom in 72 feet of water. It was the county's first state-waters vessel deployment since the Eglin Landing Craft in 2000 — meaning a short boat ride and a shallow, accessible wreck.
She doesn't have a lot of vertical relief, but her atypical position makes her a favorite with local divers and a fast-maturing fish habitat.
Marine life
A resident goliath grouper often hangs out behind the wheelhouse, along with plenty of snapper and jacks.
